Born and raised in Brazil, Marion Fauth arrived in Halifax in February 2017. An Administrative Professional who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade, Marion has over eleven years’ experience offering international administrative support in diverse areas of supply chain management, accounts payable, taxes and importing.
In June 2017, Marion began volunteering at Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 as a Greeter during the cruise ship season, providing an opportunity to be an active part of the local community while applying her English skills. Marion is an active participant in ISANS settlement services such as workshops and employment counselling and English classes, and has also started offering her services and expertise as a volunteer with the Alzheimer Society.
Fluent in Portuguese and Marion is evolving English as a second language each day. “It is challenging to acquire so much information at once, new culture, new people, new activities besides learning a new language. I am enjoying it very much”. Marion looks forward to building a new life in Nova Scotia, and is focused on taking advantage of new opportunities to further develop her skills and advance her career.
